ENDOWMENTS

In addition to giving to the Fighting Irish Annual Fund at Fisher Catholic High School, there are many endowments that help to provide tuition assistance for students and their families, support for our outstanding programs, as well as support for our faculty and staff.  Fisher Catholic High School has endowments that have been established by, and named after, individual donors. You can read more information about endowments below.

An endowment is a gift that provides a source of economic support in perpetuity. When an endowment is established, the money becomes a permanent investment for the school, with the annual income from that investment providing financial resources to support an area of need.
An endowment offers the opportunity to leave a legacy for future students. Endowments also provide resources for Fisher Catholic High School in perpetuity.
Contributions to endowments can be made with cash, securities, property or other assets.  The minimum contribution to establish an endowment is $10,000.

If you have a question about our Fighting Irish Annual Fund or creating an endowment at FCHS, please contact

Fisher Catholic Foundation

“Catch the Spirit Building God’s Community”

The William V. Fisher Catholic High School Foundation Endowment Fund was initiated in 1986 to establish an on-going financial resource for the school. Originally raising nearly one million dollars, the funds investment income represents a significant contribution from many benefactors and strong support of the Diocese of Columbus. This original investment from the founding father and the community enabled the Foundation to quickly become an important part of the stability of Fisher Catholic High School. Since it’s inception, the FC Foundation has provided over one million dollars in tuition assistance to families with financial needs.

The William V. Fisher Catholic High School Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, founded in 1986 by concerned citizens of the community. The future of Catholic education in Fairfield County was in doubt and the founding fathers of the Foundation wanted to ensure that the resources were available to support future generations in their desire for quality Catholic education.

The Fisher Catholic High School is awarded yearly gifts as identified by the William V. Fisher Catholic High School Foundation Board, the principal of the school and the wishes of contributors. The awards are made from the proceeds of the investments with some portion of the investment growth being reinvested back in the Foundation so that the main core principal is grown and safeguarded for future generations. This allows a donor's gift to be perpetual and yet directed according to the donor's wishes. Since it's inception the Foundation has given the school over one million dollars while growing the principal.

A board of volunteer members of the business community (approved by the Bishop), a member of the clergy, the principal of the high school, and a financial representative of the Bishop, oversee the investment strategy as defined by the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops guidelines. All investments are made in a socially responsible way and in keeping with the tenants of the Roman Catholic Church.

There are many benefits from your association with the William V. Fisher Catholic Foundation. Giving to the Foundation guarantees that your gift will remain in memoriam and provide benefits to the Fisher Catholic education system forever. Another benefit is the tax advantage for you or your family, as can be identified by your tax accountant or financial advisor. The Fisher Catholic Foundation is an ideal place to help you keep more of what you have worked hard for and develop a living legacy for the generations to come.

You can make a gift to the Foundation at any time. Gifts of cash, property or insurance policies are common for the Foundation. Work with your trusted financial advisor, CPA, or attorney. Contact the Fisher Catholic Foundation Board for further details.
