Graduation Requirements
The graduation requirements of Fisher Catholic High School exceed the minimum Ohio core curriculum as well as provide the religion requirements befitting a Catholic school of the Diocese of Columbus. The minimum number of credits and their distribution for each academic discipline are listed below:

Ohio Honors Diploma Requirements
Though not required for graduation, many Fisher Catholic High School students prefer to work toward receiving Ohio Honors Diplomas. High school students can gain state recognition for exceeding Ohio’s graduation requirements through an Academic Honors Diploma, STEM Honors Diploma, Arts Honors Diploma, and/or Social Science and Civic Engagement Honors Diploma. High-level coursework, college and career readiness tests and real-world experiences challenge students.
Students must meet all but one of the following criteria. Each of these criteria go beyond the standard requirements for a diploma for the classes of 2023 and beyond. Students must meet the general graduation requirements (as stated above) and complete the requirements outlined below to qualify for Honors Diplomas. Students may replace one of requirements 4, 5 or 6 with a “Student Strength Demonstration.” *

Ohio’s Graduation Requirements (unlockyourfuture.org)
Ohio’s long-term graduation requirements take effect for the class of 2023. For students entering ninth grade on or after July 1, 2019, Ohio’s new high school graduation requirements provide more flexibility to choose a graduation pathway that builds on a student’s strengths and passions – one that ensures students are ready for their next steps after high school.
- Credit Requirements (as outlined above)
- Competency: Take the required tests and demonstrate competency. FCHS offers the IOWA Test of Basic Skills to all students. Students can demonstrate competency by earning a passing score on Algebra I and English Language Arts II tests. Students who do not pass the test will be offered additional support and must retake the test at least once. If students have not met the competency score on these tests, additional options will be introduced, as determined by the state.
- Readiness: Students can meet the readiness requirement by earning two diploma seals. In alignment with their graduation plan, students should be choosing seals that align with their goals and interests. These seals give students the chance to demonstrate academic, technical and professional skills and knowledge that align to their passions, interests and their post-high school pathway.

Yes. If you see a student who is troubled, or overhear remarks like "I can't go on," please call or encourage the student to call the helpline. Callers need only press "3" when prompted. The call will be routed to a Counseling and Crisis Center that provides a 24-hour crisis intervention service. Trained counselors are available 365 days per year to talk with persons seeking assistance in coping with suicidal thoughts, depression, or feelings of loneliness and loss.
Yes. When you leave a message, you are given a case number that is yours alone. Enter that same case number when updating your message or answering additional questions.
After three school days, call the toll-free number and enter your case number when prompted. A recording will let you know your message was heard and may ask you for more information. If reported by text or on the web, Security Voice will contact you via a text or email. Your answers will be sent to the school administration for further investigation. Administration actions may be confidential, but your report is always important.

Family Service Hours
At Fisher Catholic High School, we are committed to nurturing Christian values and fostering social responsibility through active engagement in service. To support our mission, families are required to contribute 15 hours of volunteer service per season (fall, winter, spring). These efforts help sustain the many programs and events that enrich the educational and spiritual experience of our students. Your participation not only strengthens our school community but also sets a powerful example of stewardship and generosity for our students.

College Credit Plus (CPP)
Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program provides a dual enrollment opportunity for students in grades 7-12 to earn college credits while satisfying high school graduation requirements. This orientation outlines the eligibility rules, including a mandatory first 15 credits in foundational Level I courses and a yearly limit of 30 credit hours. Participants can choose between state-funded tuition or a self-pay option, with the understanding that grades will permanently affect both high school and college transcripts. The documentation highlights critical differences between high school and higher education, emphasizing increased student responsibility, rigorous study demands, and the legal shift in privacy rights under FERPA. To maintain enrollment, students must meet academic standards, as underperformance can lead to probation, dismissal, or the requirement to reimburse course costs. Finally, the program offers various support services and resources to help students navigate credit transferability and athletic eligibility
Students applying to Ohio University must have all Admissions materials-application, transcripts, signature page, and testing completed by the deadlines below.
