We are asking that all FC families take time to complete Step 1 & Step 2 of the EdChoice Application Process, as outlined below. Every FC family is eligible for some amount of state scholarship money.
EdChoice Expansion Scholarship – Application Steps
Step 1:  The EdChoice Scholarship Request Form needs to be submitted to the Front Office along with a copy of the student’s birth certificate and proof of address (more than one student? Each student needs their own application). In order to receive the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship, this step must be completed. The form is attached.
Step 2: Complete the Income Verification Process. This gets submitted through the EdChoice Scholarship Income Verification Portal. In order to receive the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship, this step must be completed. There is a “Quick Guide” attached to help you navigate this step.
FAQ
As part of HB 33 that was signed into law by Governor DeWine on July 4th, funding is available for families throughout the entire state to decide for themselves where their child should be educated. The idea being that all students should have a choice of their school even though they might not have the same financial level. EdChoice is providing scholarships to meet the cost of tuition based on the chart below. There is funding for all families, all levels of income. In order to receive this funding, it is necessary to complete Step 1 and Step 2 as explained above.Â
The application window for EdChoice will open up on Monday (July 17, 2023). Applications can be submitted on Monday, if the school has all the needed information. The window for new applications will close on October 14, 2023.

FCHS NEW EDCHOICE EXPANSION TIERS

Required Introduction / Information Meeting
There will be a mandatory INTRODUCTION / INFORMATION MEETING for all FC Families on Sunday, July 30th in the gymnasium. There will be two parts to the meeting.
Part 1 from 6:00pm-6:45pm, topics to include:
- Student / family handbook
- Family service hours
- FACTS / tuition updates
- Reading, frozen surprises, lunches and Saints
- Mini Q & A
Part 2 will begin at 7:00pm – this will be the athletic portion for all student athletes. (If your student is not an athlete at FC, you are not required to stay for this portion).
- This meeting is required by OHSAA. The student athlete as well as a parent/guardian must attend.
- Please bring the student’s completed physical to this meeting. (All fall athletes must have a current or renewed physical turned in by August 1st).
If you are unable to make the first meeting, the makeup meeting is scheduled for.

All Seniors!
Please come to the office to choose your parking spot between July 18 – August 2 (see office hours below). You will need a copy of your license, insurance card and $10. Painting of your spot can begin after the paperwork portion is complete. Painting needs to be complete by Thursday, August 10th, as faculty returns on August 11th.
All other student drivers! You may choose your parking spot beginning on August 3 (see office hours below). You will need a copy of your license, insurance card and $10.
